Our story began with a single perfectly tuned wheel.

VisionLance Atelier was built to preserve and elevate the timeless craft of bicycle mechanics through disciplined, hands-on coaching.

Our journey

Founded in the hills above San Francisco, VisionLance Atelier began as a small garage apprenticeship led by master mechanic Elias Vargo. What started with three benches and six students has grown into an internationally recognized school dedicated to precision bicycle repair and restoration.

Today we operate a 9,000-square-foot studio where every tool is chosen for longevity, every technique documented, and every graduate leaves with both rare technical skill and quiet confidence.

Guiding values

01

Precision above speed

Every adjustment is measured. Every surface is finished. We teach that true mastery reveals itself in the invisible details.

02

Respect for materials

Steel, carbon, titanium — each material has its voice. Students learn to listen before they act.

03

Generational craft

Knowledge passes best through touch. Every cohort trains alongside experienced instructors who still work on client bikes daily.

Our faculty

Elias Vargo
Founder & Head Instructor

Thirty years restoring vintage racers and modern performance bikes. Elias still teaches every foundational module on wheel building.

Former lead mechanic for two WorldTour teams. Liora developed our signature carbon layup and structural assessment curriculum.

Malik Moreau
Director of Frame Alignment

An engineer turned artisan who ensures every student understands the geometry and stress dynamics that define ride quality.

Sofia Reyes

Keeper of our archival library. Sofia guides students through the delicate process of conserving and returning classic machines to the road.
